How to win arguments without losing friends

What tourism means?

Tourism has been the nature of humans since time immemorial.  Traveling also fills a man's life with joy and fun.  People found this out long ago.  Earlier people used to fulfill their hobby of traveling by walking or taking long distances by sea route.  Some people used to travel in groups on camels, horses etc., although many such trips were also done for the purpose of trade.  But there was also no shortage of people who used to travel, trade, get education or become messengers of the king, but their journey became very important from the historical point of view.  These people used to study the culture of another country and write their experiences in the form of texts.

As far as the people of India are concerned, we have had a great importance of religious visits.  People here have been giving great importance to visit religious places.  Adi Shankaracharya visited the entire country at a young age and established four religious benches in all the four corners of the country.  The system of these religious benches continues to this day.  Emperor Ashoka sent his various messengers to the Asian countries to propagate Buddhism.  His religious campaign was considered very successful in history.  But in the Middle Ages, the situation changed a lot.  There was a misconception among the Indian people that religion is corrupted by traveling across the sea.  Therefore, there is no description of the overseas journey of any Indian.

In the modern era, tourism has become prestigious as a business due to the elimination of all the misconceptions related to tourism and the drastic changes in the area of transport.  People from different countries go to other countries of the world and try to see and understand the civilization and culture there.  Many people visit the major destinations of the country and contribute to the country's tourism business.  In the modern era, increasing economic prosperity of people has also been a big hand in making tourism as a business.  A lot of money is spent in tourism.  Therefore, only rich and upper middle class people show interest in tourism.  The tourism business of the world is sustained due to these rich people.

There are immense possibilities of tourism in India but unfortunately these possibilities have not been fully exploited.  Our country is a multi-religious and multicultural country.  There is also a lot of tourist places here, but India's share in the tourism business around the world can be said to be negligible.  A small Asian country like Thailand is able to attract many times more tourists than us.  There are many reasons for our backwardness in terms of tourism, of which the main reason is - lack of facilities to attract tourists.

Keeping tourist places clean, making access to tourist places attractive, providing good accommodation to people, food, etc., making tourist places full of entertainment, keeping the road and communication in order, attracting people  There are some measures which can be developed to develop the country's tourism industry only by giving practical form.

Our decaying roads, lack of early reservation in trains, lack of basic facilities like electricity and water etc. negatively impact the tourism business.  On the other hand, Hima prevailing in Kashmir, Assam and other north eastern states is proving to be harmful for the tourism of the country.  There are many historical sites in the country, but the surrounding area is vulnerable to pollution and filth.  Take Delhi, the capital of the country.  The area of Red Fort and Jama Masjid remains devoid of attractions due to markets and narrow streets, while this area is called the heartland of Delhi.  The Taj Mahal, the stunning and supernatural building of the world, is also highly expected.  Agra is one of the dirtiest cities in the country, so how can we expect the country's tourism business to grow quadrupled day and night.  These are just a few evidences, this is the condition of tourist places all over the country.

If the tourism of the country is to be truly encouraged, then we have to take concrete measures for it.  There is a need to encourage private sector to invest in this sector as government efforts alone cannot be effective.  It takes a long time due to various reasons like corruption etc. in formulating and implementing government schemes.  Which stops the growth of the tourism industry.  It is auspicious that now the government is trying to understand the commodity situation and ensure private sector participation in every field.  If efforts are made in the right direction, then the development of tourism business in India in the next five years will give the country valuable foreign exchange and will help a lot in improving the balance of payments situation.

A major obstacle to developing Indian tourism industry is currently visible - that is terrorism.  Terrorism has its roots in all major places in India.  The tourism industry in Kashmir is dead in the shadow of terror.  While this place has been referred to as the heaven on earth.
