Joe Biden, who has been active in American politics for nearly five decades, made history on Saturday by traveling a brilliant journey from the youngest senator to the oldest American president.  77-year-old Biden was a six-time senator and is now going to become the country's president by defeating outgoing US President Donald Trump.  It is not that he has achieved this success in his first attempt.  Biden had failed in the presidential race in 1988 and 2008.

Delighted to become President, veteran leader Biden, who arrived from Delaware, had the biggest breakthrough when he managed to win a place in the presidential race on February 29 in South Carolina's Democratic Party primary, beating all his rivals.  Biden, who spent five decades in Washington, was a well-known face to the American public as he served as Vice President twice during the tenure of then US President Barack Obama.

Former Delaware Senator Joe Biden was elected the 47th US Vice President in President Barack Obama's term in 2008 and was re-elected in 2012.  He then holds the lead as the Democratic presidential candidate in 2020.

 Who is Biden?

 Joe Biden, Joseph Robin Biden Jr., was born in 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  He moved to Delaware in his childhood.  Joe Biden worked as a lawyer for a few days before entering politics.  He has been the fifth-youngest US senator in history and longest serving as a Senator from Delaware.

 Biden has already entered the presidential election race

 Biden, a six-time senator from Delaware, has landed for the third time in the presidential election race.  He made his first attempt in the 1988 election, though he had to back down on plagiarism.  Then he made his second attempt for the 2008 election.

 Biden is said to be close to former US President Barack Obama.  He has also served as Vice President twice during the tenure of Obama from 2008 to 2016.  Obama has also been seen pushing heavily for Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election.

 In 2017, Obama presented Joe Biden to his presidency for the presidency.  Two years later, Biden began his campaign for the US presidency and is the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.

 Biden reached this stage after fighting with family difficulties

 Biden was one of the youngest people elected to the Senate in 1972.  A few weeks later, a tragedy ensued in Biden's family, when his wife Nealia and daughter Naomi were killed in a car accident, while their sons Hunter and Beau were seriously injured.

 Biden traveled by daily Amtrak train between Wilmington and Washington DC to see his sons.  After which he became popular under the name 'Amtrak Joe'.  For five years, Biden raised Beau and Hunter as single fathers with the help of his sister Valerie and his family.

 In 2015, Biden's elder son Bue died of brain cancer at the age of 46.  Talking about Biden's younger son Hunter, his career as a lawyer and lobbyist has been the target of allegations of corruption.  Biden married Jill five years after wife Nilia's death.  They have a daughter named Ashley, born in 1981.
